Workshops and Talks
I am always being asked about any training about photographing Motorcycle's for photographers. Below is the information for where and when I am speaking or have a workshop,
Motorcycle Lighting Workshop in Rotherham supported by The Flash Centre - 29th September 2019
The workshop will include both studio and location (weather depending) lighting (there will be chance for you to be taking images during the day too).
It will start at 10 and finish at 4:30pm.
In the studio we will be looking at the accessories that I use and the best way to use them to shape the bike with light. We will also be looking at how to photograph and light the details.
Outside we will be discussing which locations to choose and looking at how I use the quadra's to turn even the not so nice of places into something dramatic that can work with the bike.
What we will be covering:
*Choosing and finding locations
*Lighting the details of the bike
*Lighting the bike as a whole (studio and location)
*How I plan for a shoot
*What kit I take on shoots and why I use what I do
*Tea and coffee
*A light Lunch (please let me know if you have any special food requirements)
*A chance to chat to the Flash Centre Team (Just because they are awesome!)
£129 for the day with a limit of 10 places (they won't last long). To BOOK just follow this link and register your place :) -
"I’m motorbike mad, I love bikes and cameras, I am also a professional photographer. When I saw Michelle Spak’s lighting for motorbikes seminar advertised I just had to go along. I spent the day with Michelle and the team at The Flash Centre in Birmingham and I was blown away by the way she shaped light; the simple but effective portable lighting was all explained, and the way she gets those stylised images all started to make sense. I learned a lot and was totally inspired by her enthusiasm for the subject. The course was well paced and informative and the opportunity for everyone to get hands on experience was excellent. I have admired her work with motorbikes for may years and never thought she would tell anyone her secrets about this and I know many have asked her; it was a privilege to be there, thank you, Michelle."
